This morning, our friends watched Mrs. Berry and Mrs. DeBono perform amazing science experiments. They put dry ice and warm water into three beakers. Then they added food coloring, soap and a glow stick. This is a great opportunity to talk about science with your child. Ask your child what they heard, saw and felt. They will probably tell you about the crackling sound the ice made when the water was added. They might describe the “smoke” that hovered over the first beaker or the bubbles that overflowed out of the next. Have him or her tell you what special thing the teachers wore to stay safe. Here’s a clue: they wore it on their hand so the dry ice wouldn’t hurt them.
